Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Health and Finance Minister announced that the province conducted 1146 coronavirus tests, which is the highest number conducted so far.
In his tweet on Friday, the minister said the province conducted 1146 tests on Thursday. He further said Khyber Medical University (KMU) conducted majority of the tests.
Breaking down the total number of tests conducted in the province, Jhagra said KMU conducted 902 tests, 106 tests were conducted in other KP public sector lab and 104 tests were conducted in private sector labs.

In another tweet, the minister announced that after successfully conducting 27 trials on pool testing, with 100% congruence, the testing lab at KMU is now mandated to do pool tests.
"Suited for large groups with low prevalence rates; theoretically increasing capacity to test by 3-5x. Fantastic job," Jhagra said.
