The deadly coronavirus cases have now been reported in most of urban as well as rural areas of the federal capital and the tally rose to 245 on Monday.
According to official data, out of 245, 28 cases have been reported from Bara Kahu, 28 in Tarlai, 21 in Sector I-10, 14 in Lohi Bher, 13 in Sector G-10, 11 in sector G-8, 10 in Sector G-6, 10 in Sector G-7, nine in Sector G-9, eight in Sector F-6, nine in Sector I-8, seven in Shah Allah Ditta, seven in Shehzad Town, five in sector F-10, five in Sohan, five in Sector G-11, five in Sector G-5, and four in Kirpa.
Similarly, three cases reported from Sector F-8, three in I-11, three in Rawat, three from an unspecified address, three from Ali Pur, and three from sector G-13.
Two cases of Covid-19 have been reported from Sector F-7, two from Sector G-12, two from F-5, two from Bari Imam, two from Sector I-8, two from E-11, one from Sector H-13, one from Sector H-8, one from Sector G-14, one from Sector I-12, one from B-17, one from Khana Pul, one from Koral, one from Model Town Humak, one from Pindbewal, one from Rawal Town, and one from Sihala. Out of total cases, 29 have so far recovered and three have died.
Despite increase in the cases of Covid-19 in the federal capital, gross violation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) has been witnessed in various markets. The owners of various businesses did not follow the SOPs devised by the government for controlling the spread of the coronavirus.
According to a notification issued by the Islamabad Capital Territory administration on Monday, the parks and trails have been opened for general public with immediate effect. However, the sports grounds will remain closed. "The said permission is subject to adherence to the SOPs issued by this office from time to time including social distancing guidelines only of exercise, walk etc."
The Environment Directorate MCI will be responsible for implementation of the SOPs and guidelines.
Meanwhile, various teams of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration conducted 257 inspections at various markets and imposed a fine of Rs 392,000.
The country's tally of the Covid-19 infections has reached 13,328. According to the official data, Punjab has 5,446 cases followed by Sindh 4,615, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 1,864, Balochistan 781, Gilgit-Baltistan 318, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) 59. Till the filling of this report, 3,029 coronavirus patients have so far recovered, and 281 have died across the country.
