On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,556. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.603 billion and the number of lots traded was 15,164.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.065 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 651.538 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 608.156 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 534.441 million, silver PKR 249.806 million, DJ PKR 228.982 million, platinum PKR 107.469 million, SP500 PKR 85.348 million, natural gas PKR 49.967 million and copper PKR 21.942 million.

In agriculture commodities, one lot of wheat amounting to PKR 4.216 million was traded.
