Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that 307 new cases of the coronavirus have been detected in the province while 11 more people died, taking the death toll to 148.
In a statement issued from the Chief Minister's House, Murad Ali Shah said that 2,250 samples were tested, resulting in 307 new cases. He said that 42 people recovered and were allowed to go home.
The total number of people who had recovered was 1,670, constituting 20.5 percent recovery rate.
According to the chief minister, 6370 patients were undergoing treatment. Out of the total number patients, 5,139 were staying at home in isolation, 736 at the isolation centres, and 495 at different hospitals.
He added that 82 patients were in critical condition.
Shah said that out of the 307 new coronavirus cases, 237 belonged to Karachi.
He said that 21 new cases emerged in Khairpur, 12 in Kashmore-Kandhkot, eight in Larkana, five in Hyderabad, three in Sukkur and one each in Badin, Sanghar and Shaheed Benazirabad.
