  • A Concept Clearance Committee meeting was held at the Ministry of Planning in which Deputy Chairman Planning Commission and Country Director ADB participated.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide $305 million to Pakistan to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. The funds will be used to provide protective clothing and equipment, including setup of health centers, training for health medical staff, and clean water.

As per details, a Concept Clearance Committee meeting was held at the Ministry of Planning in which Deputy Chairman Planning Commission and Country Director ADB participated.

ADB will provide $200 million for the protection of the vulnerable, whereas, the remaining funds will be provided for emergency preparedness. The money will be used to provide protective clothing and equipment. Health centers, training medical staff, and clean water supply.

The Deputy Chairman Planning said that they are working to provide relief to the people directly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
