Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair on Thursday National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting to discuss reopening of business activities and educational institutions from next month.
The committee will take a decision after reviewing the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the country. Pakistan has recorded 24073 coronavirus cases and 564 deaths.
Earlier, the federal cabinet had approved easing the lockdown. The NCC will also decide whether the suspension of flight operations continues or not.
On Wednesday, Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mahmood chaired virtual meeting of Inter Provincial Education Ministers Conference in Islamabad. During the meeting, Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan recommended continued closure of schools. Whereas, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa suggested to open the school.
