The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration on Saturday de-sealed Tramari area, which was sealed in the mid of last month after some cases of coronavirus surfaced there.
According to a notification issued by the ICT administration, while referring to the subject, it is to intimate that surveillance exercise was conducted by the surveillance teams of the district health officer (DHO) in areas, Irfanabad, Tramari, Islamabad and accordingly the samples were drawn, which revealed positive.
Consequent to the said result they were isolated and their contacts were extensively traced, and the area was locked down, it said. It said that now in compliance with the protocol, standard operating procedures (SOPs) the follow up samples of these persons were drawn after the completion of 14 days of isolation at their homes by the surveillance team, and their first and second follow up sample have revealed that they are now Covid-19 negative, other suspects will remain in home quarantine.
The notification said that following analysis of the clusters of confirmed Covid-19 cases reported in the above mentioned areas, the district magistrate is requested to ease the lockdown in the above mentioned area.
