The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has appointed Dr Saeed Ghumman as head of Punjab TB Control Programme replacing Dr Aamir Nazir.

Dr Saeed Ghumman has been appointed for one year on contract against lump sum pay package of Rs 0.5 million.

Dr Ghumman who retired from service as Director EPI Punjab was engaged in consultancy services with the Unicef and WHO before his selection.

Sources claimed that transparency was not ensured in the recruitment process of Dr Ghumman.
