Amid the spread of the novel coronavirus, Twitter has told its employees that they can work from home not just during the pandemic, but forever.
In an email to employees, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said most offices will not re-open before September and employees can choose whether or not to come to the facilities, BuzzFeed News reported. Twitter has become the first major tech company to allow employees to work from home if they wish.
The company said further said if employees are in a situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue doing so 'forever,' then 'we will make that happen'.
Earlier in March, the social media giant had asked employees across the world to work from home so as to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
