CBOT soyabean futures decline for 3rd session

Chicago Board of Trade soyabean futures closed lower on Thursday for a third straight session as generally favorable US crop weather bolstered expectations for a large crop and overshadowed supportive news of fresh US soya sales to China, traders said.

Declines in global equity markets amid disappointing US jobs data added to bearish sentiment in commodities.

CBOT July soyabeans settled down 2-1/2 cents at $8.37 per bushel.

CBOT July soyameal ended down $2.40 at $288.20 per short ton while July soyaoil rose 0.27 cent to settle at 26.18 cents per pound.

Private analytics firm IEG Vantage projected US 2020 soyabean plantings at 85.890 million acres, above the US Department of Agriculture's official forecast of 83.5 million acres.
