Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has rebutted the rumours circulating on social media regarding governor's rule in the provinces, describing these as 'propaganda' by anti-state elements.
In a statement on Sunday, Senator Faraz denied the rumours with regard to imposition of governors' rule in the provinces, saying: "this is propaganda byanti-state elements".
"At a time when the government is making extensive and successful efforts to overcome Covid-19 pandemic and resolve other issues, some miscreants are trying to distract the government's attention by circulating such rumours," he added. Earlier, speculations were rife on the social media that efforts are being made allegedly to impose governors' rule in all the provinces due to prevailing situations.
