A Pakistani-American was honored by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for helping the people on the frontlines amid coronavirus pandemic.
Laila Khan, 10, from Maryland was honored for helping medical workers and firefighters. She donated 100 boxes of cookies to the firefighters and medical workers as they battled the novel coronavirus.
The US Embassy in Islamabad also congratulated Laila.
In his address to the ceremony, the US president said those we honor remind us that the bonds that unite us in times of hardship 'can also raise us to new heights as we reopen and recover and rebuild'.
