Qatar and Kuwait have said that they would start arresting people for not wearing a face mask during the coronavirus crisis.
In a statement, both countries warned that they would also fine the people who fail to wear the face mask. Qatar, where more than 32,000 people have tested positive for COVID-19, said it would fine as much as $55,00.
The country also said the maximum penalty would be three years, international media reported. Meanwhile, Kuwait said the maximum fine will be $16,200, and the violator could be jailed for three months.
