Aaj News Special Transmission to create awareness against coronavirus "Pur Azm Pakistan" is making strides in terms of sensitising the people about the pandemic by appealing them to take precautionary measures and follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to check the spread of this virus.
During the transmission, co-hosted by actress Reema Khan and Farhan Ali Waris, guests appealed to people to show sense of responsibility in the present situation.
Cricketer Moeen Khan, religious scholar Zubair Ahmed and psychiatrist Yasir Masood Afaq were the guests in the transmission.
Moeen Khan said that precautionary measures are necessary to prevent the spread of this virus and called upon the youth to play their part in this present situation.
Religious Scholar Zubair Ahmed said that people must follow the precautionary measures and health advice in the case of outbreak of epidemic.
Yasir Masood Afaq said that sixty percent population of the country is less than thirty years of age, which is well-connected with social media. He noted that social media has an important role, however, all need to beware of sensational information on it.
Baba Garpal Singh, Sikh community leader also appealed the people to follow SOPs, announced by the government.
The special message of President Dr Arif Alvi was also aired in the transmission to create awareness against coronavirus.
Participants were of opinion that people should follow precautions as well as teachings of revered figures in the event of outbreak of any epidemic.
