The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday decided to file a corruption reference against senior officers and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on charge of sale of Pakistan embassy's building in Jakarta in violation of rules and regulations resulting in huge loss to the national exchequer.
An official said that the decision to file corruption reference against officers and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was taken during the NAB's Executive Board Meeting (EBM) presided over by the bureau's Chairman former Justice Javed Iqbal on charge of sale Pakistan embassy's building in Jakarta in violation of rules and regulations by misusing their authority.
He said that the NAB also authorized three investigations, one against former federal minister for housing and works Akram Khan Durrani, against inter-provincial coordination division joint secretary Arif Ibrahim, and another against management of the job testing services. The official said that the EBM also approved to launch three corruption inquires, against former member of national assembly (MNA) Rukhsana Bangash's son Umar Manzoor and former secretary works Gilgit-Baltistan Akhtar Rizvi.
