Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Shaheen Raza passed away on Wednesday after battling coronavirus.
She is the first lawmaker in the country to lose her life to the virus. She was admitted to Mayo Hospital earlier in the week. According to local media reports, Raza contracted the virus while visiting a field hospital.
President Arif Alvi and Information Minister Shibli Faraz both expressed their grief over the MPA's death.
