(Karachi) The ill-fated Pakistan International Airline (PIA) plane that crashed in Karachi with 91 passengers and eight crew members on board reportedly suffered engine failure. In photos taken only a few minutes before the crash, it is visible that the engines were charred and thin smoke was emitting from them.

The plane soon crashed into a residential area.
