A sudden spike in the number of coronavirus positive cases across the country clearly shows that lockdown relaxations have led to worsening the situation. What has been observed since the ease in lockdown is growing incidence of violations of the SOPs to contain the spread of coronavirus. Special Assistant on National Health Service Dr Zafar Mirza has been quoted as saying that it had been made mandatory for the people to wear masks at any gathering or while using the public transport.
That people at large are not following what has been made mandatory for them by the government is a fact. It is about time the government started making orders, not appeals, to people to arrest alarming increase in the number of positive cases.
