The cockpit voice recorder of the crashed Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Airbus 320 has been found from the debris after an extensive search by the PIA teams.
The voice recorder has been handed over to the AAIB for investigation. According to PIA spokesperson, Abdullah Hafiz the voice recorder would be a key component for the investigation. He said it would take a couple of weeks to decode the voice recorder.
Following the incident which killed 97 passengers onboard, the black box of the plane was recovered and handed over to the probe team to initiate speedy investigation. However, efforts to recover the voice recorder still continued.
