KARACHI: Karan Johar, after “My Name is Khan” is back with a new project “Student of the Year”. The movie basically focused towards youth and their style of living.

Student of the Year is introducing a new face Alia Bhatt, the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt. Other key casts include Varun Dhawan, son of comedy film maker David Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra, a former male model. Both Dhawan and Malhotra worked previously with Johar in My Name is Khan.

The movie will also showcase versatile actors namely, Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Kayoze Irani and recently Kajol signed for this movie.

According to media sources, this 40-year-old director said, “I feel I am in a new phase of production which is great for Dharma Productions. We are doing great collaborations and I am directing fantastic newcomers in the film. So I am charged about it.

He further added, “I feel I'm blessed. I'm in a profession that lets me sing, dance, laugh and cry and still be at work. I don't think I could be more fortunate than this."

Student of the Year is being co-produced by Karan and Shahrukh Khan.

The movie is scheduled to be released on this October.
