KARACHI: Singer and Barbadian beauty Rihanna will be stunning fans in her new avatar as Harper's Bazaar's August edition model. She has also been named Vogue Italia’s “Woman of the Year” for the second year in a row.
In her shot for Harper’s Bazaar she is posing in sleek pieces by designers like Emporio Armani, Balmain, Alexander Wang and Tom Ford. She is featuring her natural, bronzed look with minimal make-up.
Photographer Camilla Akrans, stylist Mel Ottenberg and make-up artist Mylam Morales have created a minimal, natural look for the pop star, capturing her natural beauty and essence.
She also discusses, in the magazine, her whirlwind relationships. The “We Found Love” singer admits that despite how “rebellious” she may seem through her music, through her fashion, tattoos, and her hair, she has been conservative in her love life.
While she doesn't mention any names in the interview, she does reveal just how much she was hurt by a former love.
"When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love. The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye, my whole life changed," Rihanna said. "Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I'd feel that pain in my life. I'm afraid of feeling that again."
As for her professional reunion with Brown, Rihanna says fans’ disapproval was understandable yet unnecessary.
Rihanna and Brown split up in 2009 after he infamously left her beaten and bloody on the side of a road after the two got into a heated argument following a pre-Grammys party in Los Angeles.
Despite the assault, however, the two have recently reconnected, collaborating on two remix tracks and coincidentally partying at several of the same clubs at the same time.
