Bollywood Diva, Kareena Kapoor is to enter marital bliss with Nawab of Pataudi and fellow Bollywood heart-throb Saif Ali Khan later this year in October.
Arrangements have already begun, as Kareena Kapoor decided her wedding sharara for ‘the big day.’
It is reported she will be wearing the same sharara her to-be mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore wore 40 years ago on her wedding day to Saif’s father Mansoor Ali Khan.
Kapoor could have opted for any other influential designer with many of them vying for competition, but according to the tradition of Khan’s family she has to wear the designated outfit. According to Indian media sources Kapoor is said to be “totally happy with it”.
Kapoor’s wedding date is said to be clashing with the film schedule of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest project ‘Ram Leela’.
‘Ram Leela’ is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s love tragedy ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
Bhansali wants to shoot the film at a stretch and does not want his actors to take a break.
Speculation that Kareena’s upcoming marriage to Ali Khan on October 16, could be one of the reasons behind this.
‘I feel the chemistry between Ranveer and Kareena is going to rock,” Bhansali told few days back. Though at the time, the filmmaker had yet to reveal his plans of casting Priyanka Chopra instead of Kareena in the leading role.
Kareena was very excited when she was signed by Bhansali and said she always wanted to work with the noted filmmaker. She is even thought to have said she would not take a break, and would start filming shortly after her marriage.
But it was later confirmed by a spokesperson for the actress that because of “lack of dates and money issues”, she is no longer associated with the project.
"I am extremely ambitious and very career-oriented and my personal life has never come in the way of my career. My not doing this film has nothing to do with my wedding. Everyone knows Saif and I have been together in a relationship for the last five years and such stories about me being replaced because I am getting married are floated by PR machineries on an overdrive! So people just back off and let me focus on my work!"
Even though, Kapoor is no longer doing Bhansali’s project, she is committed to her profession and intends to follow in her mother-in-law's footsteps.
