Rehman Malik resigns from Senate

Talking to media at Karachi airport, Rehman Malik said  he wanted to resign from his current post as well but he had been asked by the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to continue to perform his duty as Adviser.

Rehman Malik said that he did not need support of Mian Nawaz Sharif on dual nationality issue as he had already surrendered his British nationality.

"I assure you that I don't have any directorship in any business, I have resigned from every thing", he added.

Answering a question about Inspector General Police Sindh post, he said, it has been decided that Fayyaz Leghari will be the next IGP of the province.

To another question, the Advisor said law and order situation in Karachi has been improved due to effective measures taken by the government.
