KARACHI: Mallika Sherawat will host a gay bash today in Los Angeles to celebrate the same-sex engagement of her gay friends Alex Bulger and Rick Ferrari. Sherawat is a big supporter of gay rights.

She is leaving no stone unturned to make the party lavish and memorable. In fact, it will be hosted at Los Angeles’ legendary Sunset “Boulevard”.

Rick and Alex have known each other for a decade and got engaged last month. Both of them work in businesses related to art and interiors.

About revealing how they met Sherawat, a source said, “They met through a common friend at a party and instantly became friends. Rick and Alex are part of that set. She heard about their engagement after returning to the US from India recently, and wanted to do something special to celebrate.”

Talking about her involvement in the celebration, Sherawat said, "I am celebrating the engagement of my very close friends Rick and Alex. Hopefully in the future, gay couples all over the world will have the right to celebrate their union openly."

She is very happy for her gay friends and wishes to convey her love for them and for gay rights through this party. The sultry siren wishes that the world will become open-minded enough to allow gay couples to celebrate their love openly.
