KARACHI: Katie Holmes has enrolled her daughter Suri in an all-girl Catholic school in New York, according to Los Angeles Times. It’s Manhattan’s Convent of the Sacred Heart School which was once attended by Lady GaGa. The 6-year-old girl, who was previously home-schooled, is expected to begin classes at the Upper East Side school this fall.

The school is said to be very strict and requires students to attend mass every Thursday. Caroline Kennedy and socialites Nicky and Paris Hilton also graduated from the school, which charges tuition fees of $38,000 a year.

This would be Suri’s first time in a classroom. She was previously home-schooled. It is believed that Tom had wanted his youngest daughter to attend a Scientology school and that their difference in opinion on Suri’s schooling is one reason why Katie filed for divorce.

It is also rumoured that Holmes has registered as a parishioner at a Catholic church close to her New York apartment. The Church of St. Francis Xavier said “they cannot comment on Ms. Holmes in particular,” but state that it is “a vibrant, parishioner-driven community in which the Sacraments are celebrated with joyful reverence, along with an active outreach ministry to those in need.”

Katie was raised as a Catholic before converting to Scientology.
