KARACHI: Christian Bale, the protagonist of Christopher Nolan’s reboot of the Batman franchise, reportedly holds bad memories of the city of London. While the rest of the cast stayed overnight in the British capital, the ‘Dark Knight’ attended the first UK screening of his latest movie, jetting in from Paris and then left to go back shortly after.

"London holds some pretty bad memories for Christian, especially that hotel. While everyone else in the film, including Anne Hathaway, are staying in London, Christian didn't want to," a source close to the Star claimed.

"Instead, he flew into Luton airport from Paris, walked the red carpet, and was then driven straight back to the airport to catch a flight back to France. He did not attend the cast and crew private dinner," the source added.

The 38-year-old actor made only a three-and-a-half hour visit for his upcoming blockbuster.

Four years ago, Bale was reportedly arrested for pushing his sister, Jenny and mother Sharon, after an altercation took place in a £6,000-a-night suite at the Dorchester, a renowned five-star hotel.

Speaking at the film’s premiere at Leicester Square on opening night, his mother revealed that they have not reconciled since.

"I have not been invited to the premiere and will not be going as an official guest,” the mother of three said.

She had made the last minute decision to travel to London from her home in Bournemouth, Dorset, in hopes of seeing her only son.
