KARACHI: Madonna's after-show party following a concert in London's Hyde Park caused neighbours to complain about noise pollution.

She reportedly upset neighbours with the music and shouting coming from her garden.

The 53-year-old singer threw a party at her Mayfair home with friends George Michael and
Stella McCartney.

Neighbors were incensed at the noise level after midnight and were compelled to phone noise
abatement team over her loud music and shrieking.

A neighbor, who asked not to be named, claimed the council did nothing to stop the noise until it was too late.

"It went on until quarter past two. It was all out in the garden - it woke me up," the media
quoted a neighbor as saying.

“She is a pain," the neighbor said.

A Westminster Council spokesman said that a complaint about loud music was called in after
midnight from a resident in Great Cumberland place.

"When officers arrived, they could clearly hear music and shouting," the spokesman said.

In their opinion it was unreasonable on a weekday evening so they served a noise abatement
notice on the owner of the house.

"As soon as the notice was received, the volume was turned down and there were no further
complaints," the neighbor added.
