KARACHI: Ekta Kapoor has postponed the release date of her upcoming project as it’s clashing with Amir Khan’s “Talaash” which is also scheduled to be released around that time.
According to media sources, Kapoor is looking forward to release her new project “Shootout at Wadala” but in order to avoid direct box office competition with Khan, she delayed the release to next year.
Kapoor said, "As 'Talaash' is releasing on November 30, how could we release our film that time. I don't want to compete with him...absolutely not. How can we decide to take on the mammoth Aamir Khan?"
Sources added that Shootout at Wadala, which is directed by Sanjay Gupta was scheduled to released on December 7 this year but filmmakers have now pushed the release of their film to next year.
Shootout at Wadala is a sequel to the movie “Shootout at Lokhandwala”, which was released in 2007.
The movie cast features Sonu Sood, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut and Ronit Roy.
