KARACHI: Teenage bombshell singer Demi Lovato used her star status in a positive way by
dedicating a performance to the victims of the Aurora, Colorado shooting on July 20.
Lovato performed her hit song Skyscraper at a concert, Endfest 2012, for all the victims of
the shooting that took place at a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises”.
Endfest took place on Friday July 20, less than 24 hours after the tragedy in Aurora,
Colorado.
In her mid-performance, Lovato stopped the song and dedicated the performance to the victims
and their families.
“It’s really heavy on my heart today. A lot of you know what happened in Colorado at
midnight last night. I just want to make sure we can get through this. And my heart goes out
to Colorado, this song is for them,” she said.
That was so sweet of Demi Lovato to remember the victims of massacre created by James Holmes
at a midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises”, which killed 12 people and injured over 50
others.
