KARACHI: Mitch Winehouse, father of the late Amy Winehouse has admitted he had a ‘mini breakdown’ while editing his daughters biography. The highly-awaited book, on the life of Amy Winehouse was written with the intention of raising funds for the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Mitch Winehouse is also thrilled with the amount of work the foundation has achieved during such a short period of time.

“When I had to read it back for edits and mistakes I had a mini breakdown. I found it far worse reading it back. Even after a small space in time - we're talking a year since Amy passed away - we are beginning, well, Amy is beginning, to have a positive effect on a lot of disadvantaged young people's lives. There are going to be lots of tears and lots of laughter, and that is exactly how Amy would have wanted it,” he said.

The former taxi driver also admitted that he found the day that marks Amy Winehouse’s death anniversary, to be the most difficult. He intended to pass the day by offering Jewish prayers at his daughter’s former home, before moving on to his daughter’s favorite Jazz bar.
