KARACHI: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra will start shooting for “Zanjeer” remake from September.

Director of the movie Apoorva Lakhia said, “We have finished the first schedule for the film. Now the second schedule will start from September. Priyanka and Arjun Rampal will join the crew then,”

“We are planning to finish the shoot of Zanjeer by November, and it is scheduled for release in 2013,” he added.

According to media sources, Lakhia recently shot a few scenes with the actress Mahie Gill who is playing the role of Mona Darling and Prakash Jha who is playing a negative role.

Sources added that the Zanjeer remake has been produced by Amit Mehra and will feature southern star Ram Charan Teja as the male lead who will reprise megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s role in the movie.

Chopra is currently busy with her now movie “Barfi”, starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The movie is scheduled to be released in September.
