"Aamir's sister is celebrating her 50th birthday on August 3, but the actor was scheduled to leave for Chicago on the same night with the entire team. He was planning to celebrate Rakhi which falls on the previous day. However, the entire family planned to have a lavish party in the night," a source reported.

"When he heard about the party, he requested Victor (Vijay Krishna Acharya, director) and Aditya Chopra if he would be allowed to leave a day late. Of course, he didn't want to disrupt shooting or upset any schedule. Victor and Aditya were more than accommodating and felt Aamir could join the shoot on August 6. Aamir will now leave on the night of August 4 and attend the family reunion," the source added.

It seems like the upcoming action flick Dhoom 3 has received a delay because of the family get-together. This apparently is Aamir Khan’s Rakhi present for Nikhat.
