Holmes, who recently split with Tom Cruise, has confirmed she is ready to go back to films after years of concentrating on her personal life.

According to C Magazine, the 33-year-old revealed that after six years of focusing on bringing up her daughter Suri, she is eager to return to her career, the Daily Express reported.

“I’m ready to take on some more challenging roles,” Holmes said.

“I worked so much at such a young age that I really wanted to have life experiences. I feel more balanced now and think I have more to bring to the table. I always felt I wanted to catch up [in my personal life] with what I was doing [in my career],” she added

As she matured both personally and professionally, Holmes wanted to re-establish herself in Hollywood even she redefined her earlier ingénue image.
