According to the details, an improvised explosive device was used in the blast that killed an important militant commander Saaid Rehman along with his five cohorts.

After the explosion, the security forces initiated a search operation of the area to nab the culprits. Separately, in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency, six people were injured as mortar shells their house.
