Man arrested for throwing beer bottle during men's 100 meters

According to media sources, some seconds before the commencement of event, a beer bottle came out from the stands right in front of podium finishers Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Justin Gatlin.

Sources added that the suspected person was immediately arrested and he is expected to face a prison sentence along with penalties.

Bolt, who won the competition with gold with an Olympic record of 9.63 seconds, said about the incident, "I didn't know about it, I just heard about it”.

But Judo bronze medalist Edith Bosch tweeted that she was watching the event from near the start line and she had physically beat the man responsible for the disturbance.
