The ‘Boyfriend’ singer has been bitten by the acting bug and hopes to be cast in more roles in the future following his appearance on ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ in 2011.
Justin told, “I hope to do some more acting. I have only done a few things like ‘CSI’, but I really want to do some more acting.”
The pop star also confirms that he and Mark Wahlberg, 41, are joining forces on a film project that's been buzzed about for a while, a basketball drama. “We've been working on this script for a long time now,” Bieber reveals.
The teen sensation, who is currently dating Disney star Selena Gomez, thinks his big break could come in the shape of this basketball movie he is planning with ‘Ted’ Actor Wahlberg.
Most recently, Bieber made a cameo appearance as an alien in ‘Men In Black 3’ alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
Wahlberg has also discussed teaming up with the teen in the movie he reportedly hopes to begin filming in the spring. “Think of [it as] like, ‘The Color of Money,’” Wahlberg told media, referring to the 1986 movie about pool hustlers that starred Paul Newman and Tom Cruise.
Wahlberg also joked that he was surprised to learn he'd be playing the older character in the film. “So I get this call from Paramount with a story about an old guy and a young guy. I’m like, ‘Cool, let’s get Jack [Nicholson]. Let's get Robert De Niro. Let's get Robert Duvall.’ And they go, ‘What about Garrett Hedlund?’ I'm like, ‘For what?’ They're like, ‘For the young guy.’"
Wahlberg recently commented that Bieber was the perfect choice for his upcoming film project, assuring critics that the pop star really “can act”.
