‘I lost my best friend’: Rihanna

In a recent interview with renowned Oprah Winfrey, the 24-year-old has admitted she felt
humiliated and embarrassed after the R&B star beat her up on the eve of the 2009 Grammy
Awards.

“It was embarrassing. It was humiliating. I lost my best friend,” she told Winfrey in floods of tears.

“I was resentful. I held a grudge. I was dark,” she added.

Brown had publicly apologized for his actions, which left the ‘Umbrella’ hit-maker sporting a black eye and swollen lip.

He was ordered to serve hard labor and probation.

Brown was also told in a restraining order that he had to keep distance from his ex, but it
was lifted in 2011, after which both the singers have recorded two new tracks.

The teaser for the special edition of ‘Oprah’s Last Chapter’ featuring Rihanna’s exclusive
interview will air on 19 August.
