According to media sources, after achieving a great success from “Snow White and the Huntsman”, Universal is all set to shelf the sequel of the movie, but this sequel will only focus on a solo Huntsman, which will be featured by Chris Hemsworth.

Snow White and the Huntsman starring Stewart, along with Hemsworth and Charlize Theron had a tremendous success covering $389.2 million worldwide on a budget of about $170 million.

Sources added that there is a buzz doing the rounds that Director Sanders will be a part of this sequel and because of him Stewart is out as it will look awkward for Stewart and Sanders to reunite for a sequel.

Universal spokeswoman said, "The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise."

The screenwriter David Koepp is being working on the sequel.

The sequel release date is yet to be announced.
