According to a hand out, Secretary Health Punjab,Fawad Hassan Fawad said that these water filtration plants would be installed at 8 Rural Health Centres (RHC) of districts Sarghodha, 5 in Khoshab, 4 in Bhakkar, 4 in DG Khan, 2 in Rajanpur, 6 in Muzaffargarh, 4 in Layyah and 5 filtration plants would be installed in Mianwali. One plant each would also be installed at THQ hospital Chowbara, Layyah and civil hospital Sakhi-Sarwar, DG Khan.
Secretary Health said that one-day training for operating water plants would be held here on March 22 to provide training to the officials of aforementioned rural health centres and on the same day these plants would be handed over to them for immediate installation in the respective RHCs. He appreciated that Association of Physicians of Pakistani descent of Kentucky and Indiana had provided a number of water plants immediately after the floods and these were handed over to hospitals in the affected areas.
