Average border oil prices in the seven months rose by 9.5 percent to 644.04 euros a tonne, BAFA said in a statement.
By volume, imports rose 2.0 percent to 52.7 million tonnes in the first seven months of the year.
Some 38.9 percent of the oil came from Russia, 25.1 percent from the British and Norwegian North Sea and 21.7 percent from OPEC members, among others.
Syria, which is engulfed in violence, has sent no oil for eight consecutive months. It ranked ninth among Germany's suppliers for the full year 2011.
