Zaidi's work and literary accomplishments remain popular still today.
Mustafa Zaidi was born on October 10, 1930 in Allahabad, India. Zaidi started off writing in Allahabad under the pseudonym Tegh Illahbadi.
His family migrated to Pakistan in 1951, where he came to be known as "Mustafa Zaidi" instead of "Tegh Allahabadi".
He has the honour of having first published collection of ghazals and nazms at age 19. Zaidi's famous contemporary was Nasir Kazmi.
He died on 12 October 1970.
