District Officer Agriculture Muhammad Yousuf Rahmoon, agriculture experts Islamuddin Rajput, Abdul Qadir Nohrio, Razaq Baloch, Muhammad Yousuf Soomro and others informed the growers at a seminar here on Friday.
The officials said that the government has also devised a strategy to overcome shortage of irrigation water in lower Sindh areas.
S. M. Memon, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Ghulam Rasool Memon, Haji Ghulam Muhammad Chang and other small land holders complained of lack of facilities including provision of quality seeds, fertilizer and pesticides.
They informed the officials that the dealers were selling them substandard seeds, fertiliser and pesticides at higher rates but no action is being taken against them.
Responding to their complaints, District Officer Muhammad Yousuf Rahmoon said surprise raids are being conducted across the district and samples taken from shops and warehouses.
He asked the growers to submit the bill of purchased goods so that action could be taken for charging high rates.
