Interestingly most of the drivers expressed ignorance about revised fare notification, saying that yet they did not receive it. Exchange of harsh words and quarrels has become a routine as both on board passengers and transporters did not agree on fare.
The public transport plying on various routes in twin cities - 1, 3, 21, 127 and 111, have been charging commuters according to their own will.
The commuters said that mostly transporters operating in the twin cities use CNG as fuel. The people urged the authorities concerned to provide them with a sigh of relief, as complaining that the transporters are still charging higher fares.
Incomplete route is another common practice of the transporters who start receiving new fare as soon as notification of increase is issued but delay implementation of the same in case of cutback.
Commuters demanded authorities concerned to take strict action against overcharging and incomplete route by the twin cities transporters.
