KARACHI: Recently, Shahrukh Khan’s “Jab Tak Hai Jan” has hit theaters but instead of enjoying life and taking some rest after the big hit SRK has begun shooting for another movie.
Shahrukh’s upcoming movie “Chennai Express” will bring SRK and Deepika Padukone together after “Om Shanti Om” (2007). Chennai Express is an action and romantic film directed by Rohit Shetty of “Golmaal” fame. Other than the lead roles Sathyaraj and Manorama will also appear in the movie.
SRK and Rohit Shetty first teamed up for a remake of the 1982 film “Angoor”. After Shetty’s blockbuster “Singham”, he begun working on the film but left it mid-way. At that time, he had the script of Chennai Express ready to be narrated to SRK as a backup. After the narration of the script, SRK was so impressed with the idea of Chennai Express that he agreed to star in it. Chennai Express’ development pushed back the remake of Angoor.
The shooting has begun and reportedly the movie will release on Diwali next year.
