KARACHI: According to Indian media sources Sachin Tendulkar’s poor performance saw him in talks with chief selector Sandeep Patil about his plans for the future.

Sources have claimed that Tendulkar had an open talk with the chief and left the decision for the selectors to decide on his fate. Media sources in India have been buzzing over the retirement issue of the little master since the poor performance against England.

Tendulkar only contributed thirteen runs in the first Test in Ahmadabad and meager scores of eighteen in both the innings in Mumbai in which India had to face an embarrassing10-wicket defeat. Sources also claim that this meeting is an alarm bell for other team members as well whose performance has not been up to the mark.

Since a century in early 2011 against South Africa, Tendulkar has not been able to keep up with any strong performances though he is eight Test matches short of becoming the first cricketer to play 200 Tests and a retirement at this stage can cut short his plan of achieving this mark.
