Talking to reporters outside the Punjab Assembly, he said the PPP was the single largest party of the country which would prove its worth in the general elections.
He said with the grace of Allah Almighty the present government was going to accomplish its five-year term.
He said the PML-N leadership always attempted to derail democratic system but all its efforts failed. Like by-elections, he said, the Punjab government could not rig the general elections.
Answering a question, Riaz said Rana Sanaullah would not contest elections from his native constituency Faisalabad owing to his differences with Abid Sher Ali, a close relative of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif.
