Hyderabad city remained closed on Saturday. Petrol pumps and gas stations also remained shut.

Big and small rallies were staged in different localities on the platform of ‘Ahleyan-e-Shaher’ in which a large number of citizens including women participated and recorded their protest against issuance of court contempt notice to Muttahida Quami Movement leader Altaf Hussain.

Sukkur, Nawabshah, Tando Adam, Kot Ghulam Muhammad and Mirpurkhas also remained closed and public transport off road.
