Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Adviser to Prime Minister, Ms Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly, Ms. Shehla Raza, Commissioner Karachi, Hashim Raza Zaidi, Secretary Health, Aftab Ahmed Khatri, Project Director EPI, Deputy Commissioners of South, Central, West, and others were also present on the occasion.
Ms. Assefa Bhutto Zardari went to each affectee and expressed her sympathies and sorrows for deceased polio workers, says a CM House statement.
It said that she also met the injured workers there and said that present government had already provided compensation and financial assistance to legal heirs of Shaheed workers, while the government will also fully look after the affected families and the injured persons.
On the occasion, Ms. Assefa Bhutto Zardari also received applications from them.
She also assured that suitable jobs will be provided to affected family members of deceased polio workers.
She listened to the problems and assured full support from the Government, the statement added.
Later, she had a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Deputy Speaker Ms. Shahla Raza, Commissioner Karachi, Secretary Health and other officers.
She said that the campaign in the Union Council No. 1, 2, 3 of Baldia Town be completed from January 11 to January 13 while campaign for short interval additional doze in remaining Union Councils of District West Karachi be carried with effect from January 16 to 18.
Ms. Assefa stressed the need to launch the campaign against Polio in every nook and corner of the province so that there remains no incident or case of Polio.
