WCW, WWE legend all set for sensational return
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Goldberg is all set for sensational return to the ring just after three month of his retirement.
The 50-year-old appeared to call time on his illustrious career in April after a brief in-ring comeback.
Former WCW champion returned to WWE after a 12-year absence in November and shocked the world by defeating the UFC icon and wrestling ‘Beast’ Brock Lesnar inside two minutes at Survivor Series.
He then went on to defeat Kevin Owens for the Universal Title at the Fast Lane pay-per-view in March, leading to a mammoth rematch against Lesnar at WrestleMania 33.
Former two-time WCW champ Goldberg was unable to repeat his heroics from last year and dropped his title to “The Beast” at the showpiece.
After that clash he told WWE show Raw Talk that was likely to have been his last-ever match.
However, the superstar appears to have performed a dramatic U-turn on his decision and is now set for an Autumn return – but not with WWE!
A small independent wrestling company are claiming that Goldberg’s huge comeback will in fact be with them.
MCW Pro Wrestling, a US based promotion in Maryland, are advertising the star for their September 30 show.
The veteran did say “never say never” the day after his loss to Lesnar as he appeared to be saying his farewell to fans.
