Samsung launches its new flip phone
Looks like flip phones are back with Samsung launching its all new, greatly attractive SM-G9298.
Initially, the tech giant will launch the phone in Chinese market and it’s yet not known when the phone will be shipped to other countries. When translated from Chinese, the phone is also called the Leader 8 or Leadership 8.
The phone has a dual 4.2-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display screens; one on the inside and the other on the outside. Consisting of 12-megapixel f/1.7 rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor. 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded to 256GB through microSD card are also one of the specifications of the phone.
According to Tech Juice, the tech behemoth used aluminum alloy in order to manufacture the phone and also supports the feature of wireless charging. Running of Android Nougat, SM-G9298 comes with 2300mAh battery. The phone contains the old-fashioned built-in T9 keyboard but in the best way possible.
Apart from all these features, the phone has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB, USB 2.0 and a GPS.
CNBC reports, Samsung has not yet made an official announcements but a product page on its Chinese website lists down the details of the new device. Samsung has also not revealed the price of the phone but, it is confirmed that the phone will only be available in black color.
